Dinner at Café Luxembourg has been an upper west side stalwart and favourite for over 320 years. The French American menu which started decades ago has stayed true to its reputation and has evolved to include more seasonally and heath conscious items in more recent years. The classics will always include the all natural Creekstone Farms 8oz, 28 day aged angus NY strip steak with frites (known to be the best in the city), fish and chips, the Luxembourger, moules frites, omelet and lobster roll. The seasonally changing menu now includes: grilled loup de mer with garlic hummus, sweet onion and puffed quinoa, roasted Faroe Island salmon with red wine and lentils, pan roasted lamb chops with Greek potato salad and yogurt, grilled Berkshire pork loin with red flint polenta and fresh plums, veal breast confit with heirloom polenta, peas, parsnip and spring onion. There is also the classic all natural steak tartare on toast points garnished with endive.
